Jeff Davis Bank & Trust Co. secured its charter on November 8th. -

Frank Gallaugher took the helm as CEO on January 1, and Jeff Davis Bank & Trust Co. opened for business on March 12. -

The bank moved to a new facility with a drive-in feature, the first in Jefferson Davis Parish. -

Temps in the Baton Rouge area dipped to a record low 58°F on July 15, just five days after the first Lake Arthur branch opened for business. -

A year before construction began on the iconic Caesars Superdome, we opened branches across the state on Roberts Ave. and West Division St. in Jennings. -

The Iowa branch opened on the corner of Kinney St. and Highway 90. A larger Lake Arthur branch on the corner of 4th and Arthur Ave. opened a year later. -

That September, stockholders approved the bank's acquisition by Jeff Davis Bancshares, Inc. -

The downtown Welsh branch on South Adams St. opened amid operations-wide technological improvements that took the quality of customer service to a whole new level. -

Construction of the Kinder branch wrapped in April. Offices in the Greater Lake Charles area opened on August 4. -

The Sulphur branch opened its doors, and the Caesars Superdome hosted Super Bowl XXXI. -

The corporate office on Elton Rd. in Jennings opened, followed by the Lake Charles branch on Nelson Rd. -

Our Hwy 14 office opened in Lake Charles, the seventh in Calcasieu Parish. -

Carlyss opened in a temporary location while workers readied the permanent space next door for its 2006 opening. -

A big year for the bank: We broke ground on the Morganfield branch, finalized acquisition of Guaranty Bank in Mamou, LA, and opened branches in Eunice, Mamou, and Ville Platte. -

Another big year. In June, Jeff Davis Bank & Trust Company was officially rechristened as JD Bank. In July, the Morganfield branch opened for business. -

The month of June brought high humidity and two new offices, a Lafayette loan production office and the Westlake branch. -

The year kicked off with openings of a loan production office in Opelousas and full-service branches in Lafayette and New Iberia, bringing the total number of SWLA and Acadiana offices to 24. -

Opelousas relaunches as a full-service office. -

JD Bancshares, Inc., named Bruce W. Elder president & CEO, the same year Louisiana broke records for tourism. In 2020, JD Bank began trading on the OTCQX exchange. -

To commemorate our 75th anniversary, we donated $75,000 to 25 local charities. Later that year, we opened a Sale Rd. location in Lake Charles, two years after Hurricane Laura destroyed the McNeese Branch. -

Loan production offices opened in Mandeville that September, bringing our services to the North Shore and Baton Rouge and extending our footprint to eastern Louisiana. -
